Saturday Jenny and I had agreed to set up a craft table at a local lawn and garden center. It seemed like an unusual place to sell books and art, but we were invited and decided to take a chance even though our weekend was already jam packed. And even though waking up early and schlepping everything out in the cold was unpleasant we had a good response from people who were there primarily to buy birdhouses and hand made jewelry. Jenny had printed some greeting card versions of some of her Tiny Drawings and people loved them. I even sold some poetry books, and as any poet knows that’s no easy feat. Overall we had a good time and even wrote and illustrated the first few pages of a future children’s book.
